Road Maintenance Worker I/II
The Pershing County Road Department is accepting applications for a Road Maintenance Worker I or II, depending on qualifications. The job will be based out of the Imlay Substation. The ideal candidate would reside in the Imlay or Grass Valley Area.
A Road Maintenance Worker maintains county roads and rights of way by performing a variety of manual tasks and operating both light and heavy vehicles and road equipment. Examples of duties include operating assigned equipment to maintain County dirt, gravel, and paved roads and County rights of way; patching pot holes, sealing cracks in pavement, cleaning and repairing culverts, and other duties as required.
Applicants must be able to obtain and/or maintain a current Commercial driver's license, follow safety procedures while operating equipment, and communicate effectively both with members of the public and other employees. Applicants must also be able to meet the physicals demands of the position as outlined in the job description.
