Deputy Court Clerk Trainee
Eleventh Judicial District Court

The Eleventh Judicial District Court is actively looking for self-motivated and high-achieving people for the position of Deputy Court Clerk (trainee). 

Applications are invited for an eligible list for the position of Deputy Court Clerk (trainee) for the 11th Judicial District Court. The duties include providing information to the public, schedule hearings, notify participants of hearings, issue arrest warrants, request documents or information from other agencies, takes minutes in court, operate audio and video equipment provide data entry of records searches, receive fees, data entry, open new cases, maintain proper records in case management system.

The person who is hired for this position will receive 100% paid health insurance for employee-only coverage. (Employees may elect dependent coverage, with the employee paying the full dependent premiums.) The District also offers PERS retirement contribution.

 This position is full time employee in Lovelock, Nevada.

On-Call Custodian
Pershing County Buildings and Grounds Department

The Pershing County Buildings & Grounds Department is seeking job applicants to fill the On-Call Custodial Worker position.  Job duties include cleaning assigned buildings (sweeps, mops, strips, waxes and buffs floors; vacuums and cleans carpets; dusts, cleans windows, counters, molding, sills, rails and other parts of the buildings; cleans bathrooms; replenishes bathroom supplies; empties trash).

Applicants should have knowledge of building cleaning and janitorial care practices; types of cleaning chemicals and their uses; safety procedures applicable to the use of custodian tools and cleaning supplies.

Administrative Clerk
Pershing County Clerk-Treasurer's Office

The Pershing County Clerk-Treasurer is accepting applications for an Administrative Clerk’s position.  The position is full time with regular county benefits.

Starting classification will be based on the skills, knowledge and experience of the applicant.

Applicants should have knowledge of office procedures, office equipment and computers, basic record keeping, correct English usage and business math.  A background in government accounting is a plus.  The ability to deal with the public is a must.

Planning and Building Technician
Pershing County Planning and Building Department

The Pershing County Planning & Building Department is accepting applications for a full-time Planning & Building Technician position. Although this is an entry level position, all levels of experience may apply.

Applicants must be able to perform a broad range of clerical and manual labor duties and have knowledge of general office equipment as well as be able to perform manual labor and obtain a minimum D1 water operator certification. Computer knowledge is required and experience in Microsoft Word, QuickBooks and Excel desirable. Applicants should be able to organize and maintain accurate files and records; provide factual information both in person and on the telephone; accurately type at a rate sufficient to perform assigned duties; and have knowledge of office practices, procedures and correct English usage including spelling and grammar.

This position will consist of duties pertaining to both the Planning and Building side of the department as well as the Imlay Water System and Pershing County Electric Utility. These duties will include preparing building permits, water and power bills, reading water & power meters, assisting or handling issues associated with the Imlay Water System and Pershing County Electric Utility, preparing legal notices, agendas for Planning Commission meetings, processing business, gaming & liquor licenses and other duties as assigned. The ability to deal with the public is vital.

Road Maintenance Worker I/II
Pershing County Road Department

The Pershing County Road Department is accepting applications for a Road Maintenance Worker I or II, depending on qualifications.

A Road Maintenance Worker maintains county roads and rights of way by performing a variety of manual tasks and operating both light and heavy vehicles and road equipment. Examples of duties include operating assigned equipment to maintain County dirt, gravel, and paved roads and County rights of way; patching pot holes, sealing cracks in pavement, cleaning and repairing culverts, and other duties as required.

Applicants must be able to obtain and/or maintain a current Commercial driver's license, follow safety procedures while operating equipment, and communicate effectively both with members of the public and other employees. Applicants must also be able to meet the physicals demands of the position as outlined in the job description.
