Appraiser I/II
Pershing County Assessor's Office
The Pershing County Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Appraiser I/II position. Although this is an entry level position, all levels of experience may apply.
Applicants must be able to perform a broad range of clerical duties and have knowledge of general office equipment. Computer knowledge is required and experience in Microsoft Word and Excel desired. Efficient in advanced math a must. Applicants should be able to organize and maintain accurate files and records; provide factual information both in person and on the telephone; accurately type at a rate sufficient to perform assigned duties; and have knowledge of office practices and procedures and correct English usage including spelling and grammar. This position will require the applicant to perform outdoor duties at times in varying climates as well as other duties as assigned. The ability to deal with the public is vital. Maintenance Worker I/II
Pershing County Buildings & Grounds
The Pershing County Buildings & Grounds Department is seeking job applicants to fill a Maintenance Worker I/II position. Experience in performing building maintenance and construction work which includes performing basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work and some experience performing basic grounds maintenance tasks. Care Taker /Tenant
Derby Field Airport
Pershing County is seeking applicants who would like to be a tenant at the Derby Field Airport. This position is not a paid position. The tenant would be the caretaker of the residential property and the Terminal Building, including the curtilage and grounds associated with each building. The tenant would be charged a reduced rent in the amount of $400.00 plus utilities and a cleaning deposit in return for Caretaker duties. Duties would include general duty of maintaining the premises in an orderly appearance. These duties would be performed as the need arises and at all hours of the day and night, every day of the week. Must be able to pass a background check. Administrative Clerk I/Legal Secretary I
District Attorney's Office
The Pershing County District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications to fill a future opening for one full time Administrative Clerk or Legal Secretary Position. Starting salary will be based on knowledge and experience, with regular county benefits.
The Administrative Clerk I Position is an entry-level position. Applicant must be able to perform a broad range of clerical duties and have knowledge of general office equipment. Furthermore, applicant should be able to understand and apply specific rules and regulations, make appropriate decisions independently, organize and maintain accurate files and records provide factual information both in person and on the telephone, and accurately type at a rate sufficient to perform assigned duties. Additionally, all applicants must have basic knowledge of office practices and procedures, basic record keeping and data entry, and correct English usage.
The Legal Secretary I Position, under general supervision, provides routine clerical staff support for a legal office. Essential functions and tasks may include typing routine written material for attorneys such as Criminal Complaints, Informations, and other boiler plate documents. Tasks may also involve routine clerical duties and assisting in the preparation of criminal case files. Applicant should possess knowledge of legal office practices, legal terminology and court functions. Must be proficient in the correct use of English, spelling, grammar and punctuation and have excellent organization and record keeping skills. Computer knowledge is a must.

Pre-Trial Services Officer
Eleventh Judicial District Court
Applications are invited for an eligible list for the full-time, regular position of Pre-Trial Services Officer for the Eleventh Judicial District Court. The duties include meeting with people who have been arrested and/or convicted of criminal charges, interviewing them and preparing reports for the court, administering drug tests (urine and/or oral device testing) and preliminary breath tests (PBTs), monitoring defendants and their adherence to court-ordered requirements, updating and maintaining records, and other duties as outlined in the essential functions.
The person selected for this position will be assigned to Pershing County and work alternative work schedules, which will include evening and weekend work. Usually, the work hours will be scheduled in advance. Because of the hours worked and the types of duties performed, this position may be ideal for someone with a law enforcement background.Position will remain open until filled.

Library Director

The Pershing County Library Board of Trustees is in search of a dynamic, creative, community oriented and inspiring leader to serve as Library Director. The Pershing County Library serves the community of Lovelock and Pershing County, Nevada. The library serves to promote literacy, build our community, and enrich lives. We are proud of our partnerships with the local citizens and organizations to bring vital information and resources to our patrons, be a nucleus for job and education seekers, a safe haven for our young patrons and community members, and create innovative and unique children’s, teen, and adult programming.
The Library Director is a full-time and salaried position which requires a high degree of independent judgment and initiative and will be responsible for the daily operations of the library. Key activities will include public relations and marketing, program coordination, purchasing library materials and services, and interacting with the public and staff. The Director will handle administrative tasks, supervise two full-time employees and volunteers, and be chiefly responsible for the general operations of the library.

Administrative Clerk I/II
Pershing County Recorder-Auditor
The Pershing County Recorder-Auditor is currently accepting applications of employment for the position of Administrative Clerk I/II. Applicants must have specific office skills that include 10 key calculator, bookkeeping, and accounting. Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll is beneficial. Computer knowledge is required. Experience with Windows, Word Processing, and Excel is imperative. Applicant will also be required to record Official Documents as needed. The ability to deal with the public is a must.

Pershing County Sheriff's Office

Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: Being able to deal with the public and have good communication skills. Other requirements consist of typing, answering phones, computer and clerical skills and ability to work under pressure while multitasking. Must obtain a certificate for NCIC. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and night shifts. The applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
