Court Services Specialist
(Eleventh Judicial District Court)

Reports To: Court Administrator, Salary: $19 - $25/hr. DOE.

The Eleventh Judicial District Court is actively looking for self-motivated and high-achieving people for the position of Court Services Specialist.  The District takes an innovative and proactive approach to supervising individuals on a pretrial release or post sentence supervision.  If you want to be a part of a team that achieves results and makes a difference in the community, this may be the career opportunity for you!

Applications are invited for an eligible list for the position of Court Services Specialist for the 11th Judicial District Court. The duties include conferring with offenders, legal representatives, family members and other concerned persons; review documents pertaining to the legal and social history of offender; provide recommendation in regard to conditional release; perform drug testing; and compile statistics and reports in regard to progress of defendants, court appearances, payment of fines, community service, etc.

The person who is hired for this position will receive 100% paid health insurance for employee-only coverage. (Employees may elect dependent coverage, with the employee paying the full dependent premiums.) The District also offers PERS retirement contribution.

This position can be one full time employee who travels between Hawthorne and Lovelock or could be two part time positions with a person in each county.

Road Maintenance Worker I/II

The Pershing County Road Department is accepting applications for a Road Maintenance Worker I or II, depending on qualifications.

A Road Maintenance Worker maintains county roads and rights of way by performing a variety of manual tasks and operating both light and heavy vehicles and road equipment. Examples of duties include operating assigned equipment to maintain County dirt, gravel, and paved roads and County rights of way; patching pot holes, sealing cracks in pavement, cleaning and repairing culverts, and other duties as required.

Applicants must be able to obtain and/or maintain a current Commercial driver's license, follow safety procedures while operating equipment, and communicate effectively both with members of the public and other employees. Applicants must also be able to meet the physicals demands of the position as outlined in the job description.

Assessor's Office Admin. Clerk I/II - Personal Property Appraiser

The Pershing County Assessor’s Office is now accepting applications for an Administrative Clerk I/II -Personal Property Appraiser position. The position is full time with regular county benefits. Starting classification will be based on skills, knowledge, experience and certifications of the applicant.

Applicants should have knowledge of office procedures, office equipment, computers and accurate English usage, business math, handling of financial funds and the ability to provide factual information, including in person, on the telephone and in writing. Obtaining certification as a Nevada Personal Property Tax Appraiser will be required within 12 months of hire. This position is also the backup DMV technician as required.
